Terms of service
Last updated 19 September 2026
These terms apply to your use of please-be-happy.com and to any purchase ofLetters from the First Six Years (“the Letters”). The site and the Letters are provided by Mareile Menninger FZ-LLC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.
The product
The Letters are a digital product: a designed PDF delivered by email after purchase, together with The Eighth Letter and The Other Parent Edition. Delivery is normally immediate. If you have not received your download within an hour, check your spam folder, then contact us.
Payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout. Payment is processed securely by Polar; their terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself. You will receive a receipt by email.
Refunds
Because the Letters are delivered instantly as a digital file, they are not generally refundable once delivered. If something has gone wrong with your order, or you are unhappy with what you received, email us within 14 days and we will do our best to put it right. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Personal use
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read and keep the Letters. You may share The Other Parent Edition with the person raising your child with you, as it is intended. Please do not otherwise copy, resell or redistribute the Letters. All content on this site and in the Letters is our copyright.
Not professional advice
The Letters and everything on this site are educational. They are not medical, psychological or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional about your child or your family. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and any dispute will be subject to the courts of Dubai — without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you are entitled to where you live.
